WBC Light Flyweight Champion Esmeralda Moreno and Challenger Yesenia Gomez Prepare for their Highly Anticipated September 22nd Rematch

“Joya” Moreno grants rematch to “Niña” Gomez

World Boxing Council female light flyweight champion, Esmeralda ‘Joya’ Moreno is training hard to defend her belt on September 22; in a rematch against Yesenia ‘Niña’ Gómez in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

Joya is already in the intense stage of the preparation to defend with everything she`s got the belt she won in a battle royale, from Mexican Ibeth ‘Roca’ Zamora, pledging: “This time I will not give any advantage. That belt will return home with me because it is not mine. rather it`s my daughter´s. Yesenia is a very strong fighter but this time the story will be different.

Esemralda is currently holding her training camp, astutely guided by Víctor ‘Vaquero’ Díaz. The two-time world champion at 108 pounds, defeated Yesenia Gómez in her last fight, in addition to get into politics; and she assures that both experiences were of great learning value.
