Persoon wary of St Vil challenge

World Boxing Council female lightweight champion Delfine Persoon, is concluding a grueling training camp for the fight she will hold this Saturday against boisterous and loquacious opponent Melissa St Vil.

Persoon will defend her belt for the ninth time on Saturday, March 9 in Kortrijk, Belgium. An accomplished champion who has suffered only one loss in 43 fights and has 17 knockouts, Delfine comes from defending her WBC crown, on December 8 beating Kenyan Judy Waguthii, by technical knockout in the tenth round.

Melissa, is a former WBC silver world champion. She has 11 victories, including one KO, and 3 losses. She lost on April 6 against WBC super featherweight champion, Eva Wahlstrom of Finland, in a very entertaining match.
