Mercado aiming for rematch against Zarika in Mexico!

Mexican Yamileth Mercado looks forward to have a fiery rematch with World Boxing Council super bantam champion, Fatuma Zarika…this year.

The WBC International champion said that her promoters are already negotiating the fight with the representatives for the African Star, with the aim of clinching an agreement in the next few days. The ambition is to bring the fight in Mexico, remembering that Yamileth already fought the champion on African territory in September of last year.

“The fight is in negotiation. My company is doing everything possible to bring the champion to Mexico, specifically to Chihuahua. The date on which this card could occur could be in November,” Mercado said. The second helping is expected to be peppery and dramatic, as fight one ended with a nail biting split dcision in favor of Zarika.

Mercado is leaving nothing to chance, as she`s already training in Hermosillo, meticulously guided by Alfredo Caballero.

“We have enough time to arrive very strong to this fight, and they too will have an ample timespan to make all the necessary preparation. We will continue working with absolute intensity and all the impetus to be crowned within this year,” promised Mercado.
