Mercado defeats Sanchez

Yamileth “Yeimi” Mercado conquered the WBC International super bantamweight champion Council.

She defeated Venezuelan Alys ¨China¨ Sánchez by UD in front of more than 4 thousand people at the Poliforo in Cuauhtémoc Chihuahua.

It was a promotion of 2 M Box Promotions and a aired on Facebook Live.

“Yeimi” Mercado (15-2, 4 kos) took control of the fight, by landing strong right hands on Sanchez (15-6-1 4 kos), who was unable to impose her boxing skills.

The cards of World Boxing Council judges were: 100-90, 97-93 and 99-91 all in favor of “Yeimi”, who is one step away from facing African Fatuma Zarika, who’s absolute champion.

Mercado´s plan was effective, always attacking with combinations from middle range.
