Continuing her progression as an advancing two combat sports athlete, Brooklyn’s Heather Hardy (21-0, 4 KOs) stepped inside the ropes for the first time in nearly a year to earn the Unanimous Decision victory over Paola Torres (12-3-1, 5 KOs) of Mexico on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

As part of the Adrien Broner/Jessie Vargas Premier Boxing Champions show on Showtime, Hardy got back to work with her boxing.

Despite promoter Lou DiBella’s comments on about Hardy needing to “get the rust off” and establish her usually controlling jab, the cross and uppercut was finding the mark more than the aggressive Torres.

Torres continued to came forward for the full eight rounds, creating a tougher challenge than expected for Hardy’s return back to the ring.

Official Scores: 78-74, 78-74, 79-73 handing Hardy the NABF Championship.
