Persoon seeks seventh successful defense of her WBC title

The lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Belgian Delfine Persoon, will defend her crown for the seventh time, against Argentine Natalia Vanesa del Valle Aguirre, on June 9 in Eernegem, Belgium.

Persoon comes from defeating Italy’s Monica Gentili in a non-title fight in January. She previously defended his crown by defeating French Myriam Dellal via a wide decision.

Delfine has six successful defenses against Diana Prazak, Nicole Boss, Maiva Hamadouche, Christina Linardatou, Ruth Stephanie Aquino and Myriam Dellal. Delfine was crowned WBC lightweight champion in April 2014, when she defeated Argentina´s warrior Erica “Pantera” Farías.
