After spending camp in Puerto Rico, Light Flyweight Kim Clavel in back in her hometown of Montreal for her next test and in hopes of improving to 6-0.
On Saturday evening at the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Clavel (5-0, 1 KO) will square off with 37 year old Luz Martinez (5-1, 3 KOs) of Mexico in a scheduled 6-Round bout.
The always smiling Clavel has been dedicated to her craft after jumping to the paid ranks, facing positive record foes in all but one of her professional matches and has passed every test thus far in 14 months of professional status.
Saturday’s opponent poses nothing less than Clavel has faced.
Martinez comes to Canada looking to rebound from her stoppage loss in July to another prospect in Aramis Quintana of California. Aramis battered Martinez into submission after only two rounds. Prior to that, she reeled off 3 KOs of her own so power is there.
