Female Bantamweight Marcia Agripino (2-1-1) aims for her second consecutive win at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Saturday when she battles dangerous Stephanie Essensa (3-1-1) of Alberta, Canada in a six-round bout on the undercard of CES Boxing‘s professional and amateur boxing showcase at the Fox Theatre.

“I feel great! Ready to Rock!” stated Agripino after weighins tonight.

When asked about camp, “Pino” cited that she is “more than prepared… I trained a lot with Shelly (Vincent), Karen Dulin… Karen’s coach Mike Campbell for the lefty sparring, got up to sitiotong in Boston to work with their mma girls, our mma team which has a solid group of lefties and one who was my sparring partner at the boxing gym before he crossed over to mma.”

She continued, “I spent a lot of time drillin certain things over and over again with my coach . Essensa has an mma background and some experience as a boxer, we had identical records until her recent win just a few weeks ago. We are in a tough fight but I’m prepared for what fight night brings.”

Inactive for five years, fan-favorite Agripino earned her first win since 2013 in June when she outworked California’s Kay Hansen at Foxwoods.

Essensa, who also boasts a 2-1 record in mixed martial arts, has won two of her last three in boxing including a big win over Mexican challenger Jacqueline Coutino in September.

Official Weights:
Agripino – 121 lb
Essensa – 121 lb

It is going to be a banging night of action at Foxwoods on Saturday evening!
