At the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday, November 20th, the interim WBA Atomweight Championship is on the line in the third installment of Nao Ikeyama (18-4-3, 5 KOs) vs. Ayaka Miyao (22-7-1, 6 KOs).

On short notice, Ikeyama steps in for the injured Monseratt Alcarron.

These two last fought at the end of 2016, where Ikeyama successfully defended her WBO Atomweight title when Miyao could not continue the fight in the 6th Round due to a knee injury.

In June of 2005, the rivalry started when Ikeyama KOed Miyao in the 4th Round for a regional title.

At 49 years of age, Ikeyama does not look like she is slowing much.

Before the injury, Miyao had a few years stretch of holding ownership of the WBA Atomweight Championship belt.

Other matchups on the show:
Marina Sayama (3-1-1, 1 KO) vs. TBA – 6 Rounds
Akane Fujiwara (2-1, 1 KO) vs. Rimin Shimano (2-1, 1 KO) – 4 Rounds
