“Machine Gun” Shelly Barnett (4-0-1) is headed back to familiar land, in her native city of Toronto, where she will finally look to grab her 5th professional victory.

Barnett was scheduled to be a part of Real Deal Promotions Jose Sulaiman WBC World International Tournament Semi-Final Round show in Toronto back on Saturday, August 25th but the show abruptly cancelled due to visa issues with some of the main show competitors.

Lee Baxter Promotions made immediate plans to include Barnett on their November show, her third performance on their shows in the last year.

From Lee Baxter Promotions:
“Back in business with our Canadian champion! @machinegunshellyb puts her undefeated record on the line Nov 17th in front of all her fans at @thedanforthmusichall make sure to get your tickets through her directly or @ticketmaster this show will be sold out very soon so don’t wait or it might be too late! #boxing #thedanforth #danforth #toronto #femaleboxing”

Barnett is matched up with another Mexican warrior in Margarita Angeles (3-4, 1 KO) in a 6-Round Super Flyweight bout on Saturday at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.

Southpaw boxer, Angeles, just fought Jasseth Noriega (24-4-2) in a 6-Round bout in August and many saw it a close defeat, including 2 of the scoring judges.

Barnett has her projected list of future opponents, Saturday’s matchup is a step towards her goals and appears to be a real test.

The 35 year old Canadian now lives in the Chicago suburbs and trains like a beast. She cited that she is “100 percent. Feeling great 😊.”

Hitting all of Chicago area’s boxing gyms to get the maximum workouts she can, Barnett is dedicated to her craft. Boxing and family go hand in hand with her. On Saturday, she bangs in front of her family and friends from her homeland.

This bout will be one to watch!
