The Co-Feature is just as impressive as the Main Event when you are talking Christina Hammer vs Tori Nelson! We have been speculating on this one for a couple weeks now.
WHO: Undefeated WBC and WBO Middleweight Champion Christina Hammer (22-0, 7 KOs) of Germany to face former WBC Middleweight Champion Tori Nelson (17-1-3, 2 KOs) of Ashburn, VA.
WHAT: Hammer will be defending her WBC and WBO Middleweight championships against Nelson with the next step being a potential unification of the four Middleweight belts (WBA, WBC, WOB, IBF) with Shields later in 2018.
WHERE: Masonic Temple, Michigan, MI.
WHEN: Friday, June 22nd and televised live on Shobox: The Next Generation
Hammer finally has obtained her visa and will be making her US debut against Shields’ previous foe, Nelson.
“Lady” Hammer will be making her third trip to the US to preview her future matchup with Shields by actually putting her skills on display.
Nelson, despite the loss in her previous bout, is still a dangerous, tough opponent. Shields could not put the 41 year old to the canvas.
Look for a high pressure fight as Hammer has to take care of business in an unfamiliar arena, in Shields’ backyard, and present her true intentions against her future opponent while facing a long term champion that has a fire inside to return to winning ways.
