“Barby” Juarez has the strategy for defense number seven

World Boxing Council female bantamweight champion Mariana ” Barby” Juarez, is in the final stage of her preparation for what will be her seventh defense of the green belt and gold on Saturday night March 2 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, agaisnt undefeated Spaniard Eva María Naranjo, represented by the Argentine star Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez.

“We already looked her up on the internet in order  to know how her boxing is. We already have completed weeks training in the gym and we know what we need to do to get the victory. We are working with the sparring partners, I am happy, planning new things. BUT first we must deal with  this challenge so that this year, we can try to become super bantamweight champion” she says.

Juárez Trejo (51-9-4 and 18 KO’s) seeks to extend his winning streak against European rivals: She has defeated  Suzannah Warner of England by unanimous decision, Simona Galassi of Italy by unanimous decision, Anastasia Toktaulova of Russia by technical knockout and Alesia Graf of Germany by technical knockout.

Spanish Naranjo Molina (12-0 and 3 KO’s) will have her first world championship opportunity. She currently holds the WBC International Bantamweight crown.

In terms of numbers, the European has a streak of 12 matches in a row without defeat while the Mexican champion has 8 wins in a row.

Juárez and Naranjo will be main event of a card presnted by Promociones del Pueblo in the Solidarity Gymnasium of the City of Fresnillo, Zacatecas.
