WBC Bantamweight Champion Mariana Juarez To Face Diana Fernandez in her June 15th Title Defense

WBC female bantamweight champion Mariana “Barby” Juarez prepares for her next defense that will be on June 15 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, against Diana “Bonita” Fernandez.

Juarez (52-9-4 and 18 KO’s) is determined to show Fernandez (20-2 and 4 KO’s) exactly why she`s considered one of the best female fighters of all time. On the other hand, Diana will try her utmost to conquer her first world crown.

Mariana won the WBC bantamweight belt against Catherine Phiri of Zambia and has made 7 successful defenses against Terumi Nuki from Japan twice, Alesia Graf from Germany, Gabriela Bouvier from Uruguay, Carolina “Princess “Arias from Costa Rica, Susie Ramadan from Australia and Eva María Naranjo from Spain.

Throughout her different stages as world champion, Mariana has never been defeated on Mexican territory by another Mexican.

Conquering fans from Juarez, Chihuahua, will be the second challenge for ” Barby” Juarez, since she not only will be the visitor, but she will clash with a fighter beloved in the region.

Juarez and Fernandez will fight on June 15 as part of the Juarez Fair 2019, leading the a card presented by Promociones del Pueblo.
